Fort Worth Design District-Based Tattoo Artist Derrick Teal
Eager to Reopen Shop and Thankful to Many
Clients Who Have Purchased Tattoo Gift Certificates
Renowned for Sacred Geometry and Ornamental and Dot Work Styles, Teal of Volition Arts Has Earned a Loyal Following in His Ten Years as a Tattoo Artist
Fort Worth, Texas – May 12, 2020 – When Texas Governor Greg Abbot issued an executive order closing all non-essential businesses in Texas, Tattoo Artist Derrick Teal of Volition Arts was forced to close the doors of his appointment-only tattoo shop in the Fort Worth Design District in North Fort Worth.
“This is the longest I have gone without tattooing in the ten years since I started,” said Teal, an artist who specializes in sacred geometry and ornamental and dotwork styles.
“Covid 19 been really hard for Fort Worth’s tattoo artists, like a lot of other businesses, but we have managed to hang on,” said Teal, thanks, he says, to Volition Arts’ clients and friends.
“I have a lot of loyal customers who have bought Volition Arts tattoo gift certificates for when business starts back up,” said Teal. “I am eager to get any new guidelines and to find a way to reopen in a way that is safe for my clients and me, and to get a chance to thank everyone who has supported us,” said Teal.
“I work by appointment only, so there are no walk ins and I can give my full attention to the person getting tattooed,” added Teal. Teal anticipates that Volition Arts will reopen shortly. “We will be sharing the exact date on our new website and on Volition’s Facebook page as soon as we possibly can,” said Teal.
To see some of Teal’s recent work, visit the gallery section of the Volition Arts website or check out Volition on Instagram @volitionarts. To schedule a consultation, email Derrick at volitionarts@gmail.com.
Volition Arts is located in the approximately 40-acre Fort Worth Design District in North Fort Worth. Teal’s studio is by appointment only and is in Box Office Warehouse Suites (BOWS), an eco-friendly business park made of 100 brightly painted shipping containers.
