FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Fort Worth, Texas – March 10, 2020 – America’s top spray can artists are coming to Fort Worth to compete for a cash prize at the 3rd Annual Graffiti Art Festival held in the Fort Worth Design District at 1953 Golden Heights Road on Saturday, March 14, 2020, from 11 am to 3 pm.
Each artist will be painting a billboard-sized art piece with an inspirational theme on a shipping container that are part of Box Office Warehouse Suites, the innovative business park at the center of the design district.
“The 3rd Annual Art Festival is this weekend,” said Jennifer Knittel, Administrator of the new Design District. “The event has grown every year,” she added. “The first festival drew about 4,000, but we expect more than 12,000 to come this year,” said Knittel.
“Attendees can expect to see a lot of funky and fun murals from the previous contests and done by graffiti artists commissioned to help decorate Fort Worth Design District,” said Knittel, noting that the district is home to the largest outdoor art gallery in Texas.
The event will include scores of arts and crafts vendors, food trucks and tours of spaces for lease at Box Office Warehouse Suites, North Fort Worth’s new shipping container business park. Vendors interested in renting space will find information on the graffiti festival’s website.
Festival attendees can also do the Snap and Share Art Walk, a series of interactive murals that are ideal for snapping selfies or other photos to share. This year, the art walk is sponsored by Salon and Spa Galleria Alliance. Couples will especially enjoy the Love Locks mural, where adding a lock to the display to symbolize enduring love is part of the fun.
Sponsors will be raffling prizes throughout the event, including a one-hour Lamborghini Driving experience donated by Fort Worth Car Storage. Admission to the event is free. The event is dog friendly. Those bringing a furry friend will want to visit the Golden Triangle Dog Park in the of the design district.
