If you insist on going it alone on this search, be aware of this: a warehouse for rent is not much different from a garage for rent, which is not that much different from a shop for rent. They all have four walls, they all have a ceiling, and almost all have bay doors . . . and yet they may be priced differently depending upon market conditions. Our suggestion: do a search for all three as you search for a warehouse for rent which meets your needs.
How much space do you need?
We ask this question because space is a crucial factor when looking for a warehouse for rent, or office space for lease, or retail space. Most warehouses are large. Most are at least 5,000 square feet because twenty years ago bigger was better with industrial properties for lease.

There may be a ton of jokes about lawyers, but in matters as important as industrial property contracts, you really need them. Have a lawyer look at your leasing contract to make sure there are no surprised in the fine print. Yes, it will cost you money up front, but it is money well-spent.
