What is the Fort Worth Design District?
From their website we have this description:
A business enclave made for creative entrepreneurs in fashion, design, architecture, technology, and other fields that prize both design and aesthetics. About 40 acres in size, Fort Worth Design District features retail shop spaces, studios and workshops, showrooms, light industrial spaces for makers, distributors and manufacturers and office suites.”
A great location cannot be ignored.
The location of “The District” is in the Alliance Area of North Fort Worth, which happens to be one of the fastest growing commercial, industrial, and residential areas in all of Tarrant County. The Alliance Area is, in a very real sense, the future of Fort Worth, an area where prices will be spiking sooner rather than later, as Fort Worth approaches the one million mark in population. The downtown area is over-saturated, and the overflow is heading north through the Alliance Area and south into Johnson County.
Which leads to this question: do you want to pay overinflated prices in the Old Fort Worth, or do you want to become part of the New Fort Worth and pay prices which are, for the time being, reasonable and affordable?
Why small businesses?
The District was constructed with small businesses in mind, and nowhere is that more true than at Box Office Warehouse Suites, a small business park within The District. Each property is 320-square-feet in size, each is priced right around the $1000 per month mark (as of May, 2024), and all properties are designed in such a way as to make expansion a rather simple procedure.
The future of business in Fort Worth is small business. COVID played a part in this paradigm shift, for sure, but the trend started before COVID became a household word. Oh, there will always be the major corporations, but the numbers do not lie: small business is increasing its market share. Sole proprietorships, small partnerships, 1-100 employees, these are, in our opinion, the lifeblood of any major city, and construction and planning now reflects that fact.
So, let’s tie it all up in a nice, neat package, and put a bow on it. In Fort Worth, growth is spreading northward and southward, and the northerly flow is into the Alliance Area. Within the Alliance Area can be found the Fort Worth Design District, an area which caters to small businesses.
Which leads us to you and your business. If you are a small business owner, in Fort Worth, you really owe it to yourself to take a drive out to Box Office Warehouse Suites. We happen to think you will be blown away by what you find there.
